Position Overview
The Ministry seeks a qualified Legal Officer to provide legal advisory services, contract management support, and statutory compliance guidance in support of ministry operations and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal opinions and advisory services on ministry operations and programmes.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal instruments.
- Support compliance with the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Act and related legislation.
- Represent the ministry in legal proceedings as directed.
- Maintain a register of legal matters, contracts, and instruments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognised institution.
- Admission to the Zimbabwe Bar or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in legal practice or public sector legal work.
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of public procurement and administrative law is an advantage.
