Department Sub-Units
The ICT Department is organised into two functional sub-units, each with a focused mandate to ensure efficient technology delivery and support.
Infrastructure Development
Responsible for planning, procuring, maintaining, and supporting the ministry's technology infrastructure, networks, e-government systems, and ICT capacity building.
- Plan, monitor and evaluate ICT projects and activities in the Ministry
- Implement Government National ICT policy and e-Government Strategy
- Provide Capacity Building programs to embrace the ICT working environment
- Provide expert advice on procurement of ICT equipment and gadgets
- Provide ICT Help-desk service for the Ministry staff
- Coordinate the office automation process in the Ministry
Software and Applications
Focused on the design, development, and management of ministry software applications, feasibility studies, end-user training, and ongoing solution monitoring.
- Develop software applications for the Ministry
- Undertake feasibility studies on software solutions
- Provide end-user training and support of implemented solutions
- Monitor and evaluate software applications
- Support the Veterans Information Management System (VIMS) and ministry digital platforms
